Outage Calendar
The Outage Calendar module is designed to keep track of the outages across the facilities and substations. The calendar sits in the middle part of the page with the month, year, dates, and day towards the top of the calendar. There is a ledger at the top of the calendar that also acts as a filter by selecting and deselecting the options. At the top of the calendar, you can choose the date and how many days out you are trying to display in the calendar. On the left side of the calendar, the list of stations is available with the voltage of the outage.
Download
The Outage Calendar allows for a report to be generated and downloaded. The Download icon is towards the top right of the calendar. Clicking the Download button will download an Excel spreadsheet to your device containing the Outage Calendar information.
Filter and Search
The Filters and Search tools in the Outage Calendar are found on the top of the calendar. Selecting and deselecting the options on the top will reflect on the calendar. There is also a Filter icon found on the top right of the calendar that will open more tools like a search bar and dropdown menus to make the search more efficient.
Outage Information
When you click on the outages found throughout the calendar, there is a quick view of the outage. This prompt gives a few details like the facility and substation name, the voltage type, and more. There is also a View Details button that will open a second prompt to provide more information regarding the outage.
Outage Facility
When clicking an outage on the calendar, then clicking the button View Details, a prompt will open where there is more information offered that can be edited and updated. The first tab is called Outage Facility and this is where details regarding the facility, like facility type and equipment, can be found and edited.
Outage Dates
The second tab found in the View Details prompt is called Outage Dates. This is a calendar view of the scheduled outages. On the bottom right is the list of the scheduled outages and the option to delete is available by clicking the Trash icon. This option will delete the scheduled outage date and remove from the calendar.
Job Information
The next tab in the View Details prompt is the Job Information section. In this section you can upload LER documents as well as other documents pertaining to the outage job. This is also the section to record switch in and switch out minutes. On the right side of the screen you will find information about the facility and other scheduled outages.
Crew Information
The Crew Information tab is a section that holds crew and requestor information. Details like names, phone numbers, email addresses, truck numbers and pagers are stored in this section. On the right side of the section is the facility information as well as the scheduled outages.
Authorization Statement
The Authorization Statement section includes information about the outage authorization information. This section holds notes regarding operating, cancellation, daily outage reports, and an area to add LERs. On the right side of the section is the facility information as well as the scheduled outages.
ISO
The next tab over is the ISO section inside the View Details prompt. This section is to add information like OMS, CAISO TR IDs, and Switching information. Clicking Update will save your changes, otherwise clicking the X icon on the top right corner will close the prompt and redirect you to the Outage Calendar.
Switching
The View Details prompt includes a Switching tab where switching records about the outage are stored. The records include date, time, station name, area, remarks, and status. At the right side of a switch record you will find checkboxes where you can check if a switch record should be cancelled or sent. At the top right of the Switching section is the button to Add Switching Requests, and clicking the button will open a prompt. This prompt will ask you to input information like date and time, and clicking the Add Switching Request button on the bottom will save the switching record.
System Change
The System Change tab found in the View Details prompt is a section where comments can be added and emailed to the MCC System Change group. Clicking the blue Update button at the top right of the screen will save the changes or clicking the X icon will close the prompt and redirect you back the the Outage calendar.
Costs
The last tab in the View Details prompt is the Costs tab and is labeled $$$. In this section, you can add comments about the outage costs and save and send emails to the appropriate groups. To save changes click the blue Update button found at the top right of the screen. To exit the prompt without saving changes click the X icon.
View Details Actions
In the View Details prompt, there is an Actions icon with three dots at the top right of the screen. Clicking the button will open a small window with more options regarding the outage.
Email Notify: This action will open a browser window to be able to send an email about the outage.
LER Cancel: This action will allow to cancel an LER request. A prompt will open asking to complete the cancel request.
Set To Study: This option will allow to set the outage to Study LER request. It will open a prompt to complete the action.
Clone: Clicking this option will allow you to make a copy of the outage. A prompt opens to allow you to make changes to the cloned outage.
